What is chiropractic?
Chiropractic focuses on treating disorders of the Musculoskeletal and Nervous System and the effects of these disorders on general health.
Joints can become hypomobile or restricted in their movement as a result of tissue injury. Chiropractic treatment aims to restore mobility, thereby alleviating inflammation, pain and muscle tightness. Tissues then heal, resulting in mitigating or preventing further damage and discomfort.
Chiropractic is most often used to treat Neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to headaches, back pain, neck pain and pain in the joints of the arms, hands, legs and feet.
Manual treatment by chiropractors may be referred to by terminology such as adjustment or manipulation. Our chiropractors utilise a variety of manual techniques and where indicated utilise a variety of other tools and modalities that include dry needling and shockwave therapy. Massage may be recommended to complement chiropractic.
The following are some questions you could choose to ask yourself if improving your general health and that of your spine is an important consideration.
