During the latter part of 2022, let’s consider some of the most important aspects of our lives. Physical health and mental health tend to go hand in hand. I want to challenge you to strengthen your health and happiness.
Being well and healthy is an enjoyable lifestyle and certainly doesn’t mean you need to give up things you love. For your body to be healthy it needs:
Good posture: Good posture requires good muscular strength and joint mobility. Great ways to improve these include going for a walk, perhaps a bush walk and maybe enjoying the surf. Take a break from the computer and TV to enjoy the abundance of sunshine in our beautiful Queensland. Break up a long drive with a walk. Poor posture causes abnormal stress and may accelerate dysfunction of your tissues. If you want some postural tips, do ask your chiropractor.
Rest: Take some time out for yourself and allow time to have a good night’s sleep each night. Your cells and body need rest to regenerate and heal.
Reduced stress: Find a way to regain control. Looking after yourself is important to be in a great position to look after others. Find a fun hobby you enjoy and catch up with the people you love. Take a holiday.
Good nutrition: Eat a rainbow every day. Yes, that must include vegetables! Enjoy the chocolate cake too, although, understand that all your cells need a variety of different metabolites for them to function well, so make sure you enjoy natural variety.
